There's been so much coming through in regards to awareness via videos etc. that I thought I would start this page to give some links to as many as possible.
(I am trying to put as many awareness articles and links to awareness articles as I can on this page, but please remember to use the back button on your browser and come back to this site. Thank you)
Myself, I was one of the early
participants in this patient driven database. At the outset
it was limited to ALS but on the basis of the success it has
extended out to include other diseases. To experience the
evolution of this marvelous innovation has been as inspiring
as it has been for the larger healthcare community. This
presentation by Patients Like Me founder, Jamie Heywood, is
as uplifting and hope giving as anything I have experienced
in my six plus years with my own ALS.
I am so excited to be able to share Jamie's inspiring
YouTube video with you.
Thanks Chuck Hummer for sharing this
The inspiring story of an Army Veteran who is living life to its fullest, even though she must do so with a debilitating disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) better known as Lou Gehrigs Disease.

An informative and inspirational video produced passionately by Jean-François Guilbault in memory of his wife who lost the battle to ALS. The song "You to Me" was written by the band Westlake, inspired by the strength and courage of the people touched by the disease.
Thanks Claudine

A local Gulf War veteran was diagnosed with
ALS - more commonly refered to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was given three years
to live. That was seven years ago.
