Another Battle For Peace

 We lost you today, leaving sadness within the very depths of our souls; the loss of another friend whom our country had grown to respect and be truly thankful. We are a part of Canada; the country you vowed to serve and protect from harm. We are aware of our darkness; there is no world outside on this day. There is no control, nor is there a need for control, of the pain that wells up within all Canadians in the memory of you. We see the light of day; we see the dawn and the sunset because of you!  In our hearts we will hold  precious memories of you and hear the silent whispers of prayers for your family!

 Our pain of losing you is measured by the greatness of your commitment as it has been with those before you; we cannot begin to recount the measure of the pain that we, the people of your country feel. You were given to this world as a precious gift; you had a purpose on this earth and we say to all, “You have fulfilled it”!  You left a part of yourself in every life you touched, be it near or from a distance; be it in words spoken or in deeds done. You are within our thoughts and you will remain forever within our hearts.

Your Purpose Was A Great One!!!

 When, in our moments of grief, your memory reaches out to us and we hear your courageous cries.... we will know your memory must stand for the greatness from whence you fell! Therefore, we as a country will walk for you. We promise to forever carry you in our hearts. We will pick up your light and lift it high. We will fight with the strength of your memory...

 For the Peace of Our Country! 

Our feet may not always carry us on the road we must take but we will not be defeated because we will walk in your footsteps for you.  We, as a country, will walk hand in hand with others who grieve, with the conviction in our hearts that your life has stood for greatness; knowing that the loss of you, and others before you, has become the foundation of our country’s determination to stand together; walking hand in hand, with the memory of your courage surrounding our thoughts....

Toward Your Goal Of Peace!

 Then, when in our hearts we look back on your path of life, we will not see where you fell….

We will see the path of footsteps that has no end!!
