My Son
You Mean So Much To Me
The years have passed by much faster than I would have liked them to. In my heart, I would have liked you to remain a little boy just a while longer. Knowing this, I still lived for the day you would grow into a young man. I silently looked at you with a heart full of pride but since young men have a hard time hearing their parents feelings.... I kept them to myself.
I raised you to be independent; yet to always care for others. You soon learned to make your own choices in life and to always reach for your dreams. You might say that from the day you were born, I wanted to give you your own wings to fly. Today, however, I realize that in giving you those wings..... You are flying away from me.
You are on your own journey of being a young man who doesn’t need a parent. You will feel that way for a while Son, but I want you to know that I will always be here if you need me. I love you with all of my heart. I feel so Blessed to have you in my life and so very grateful for the privilege of raising you.
My Son.... You Mean So Much To Me!
